Root takes on the demo while blindfolded, and tries to guess what exactly this guitar could be. The guitar in question is the Meteora from Fender’s Parallel Universe series, which was released last week.
The Slipknot guitarist narrates his blindfolded demo, offering snippets of observations like “Is it a Tele-style bridge? What’s going on here?” and “This feels like a weird Jazzmaster with a Tele setup, almost. You know what I mean? That feels like a Tele selector … But it’s definitely not a Tele shape, it’s narrower, thinner.”
Eventually, the blindfold is removed and Root seems to be instantly taken with the Meteora. “I kind of just want to take this back to my place and play it all day now. Whatever plans I had for today are out the window now. Me and you buddy, we’re gonna hang out.
“I dig it. Can I have it?”
