Watch: Slash walks through his new signature guitar collection with Gibson

The Slash Collection, which was initially debuted back in January during NAMM 2020, is comprised of four Les Pauls and two dreadnaught acoustics, tweaked and voiced to suit Slash’s own specs.

The American made series is set to land at dealers this month, and to drum up some hype, Gibson have published a video that sees the Gunners guitarist split the difference between each guitar in the collection.

Each Les Paul in the Slash Collection boasts a AAA flame maple top on a mahogany body, with Slash opting for a custom C-shaped neck profile for all units. SlashBucker pick-ups occupy the neck and bridge position of each guitar, and there’s a choice of four finishes on offer: November Burst and Appetite Burst, as well as Anaconda Burst and Vermillion Burst.

Meanwhile, the Slash Collection also features two J-45 acoustics, decked out in Vermillion Burst and November Burst finishes and featuring a custom C-shaped neck profile, similar to a Les Paul.

Describing the origins of the Slash Collection, the Guns ‘N Roses guitarist noted his preference for championing an affordable series that still features the bells and whistles associated with the Gibson name, saying “The Custom Shop models are very exclusive – they’re pretty expensive and they’re very specific.

“It’s nice to be able to do something with USA which is still top-of-the-line guitars, but they’re USA and they’re a little more accessible and affordable.”
