WATCH: Queen releases first trailer for new biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

The trailer highlights Queen’s illustrious career through shots of performances and recording studios, through to the extravagant tendencies of a rock star’s lifestyle (there’s an actual crown fit for royalty featured in the clip). Soundtracked by mash-ups of some of Queen’s biggest hits, including ‘We Will Rock You’ and the title track ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, the trailer claims that “the only thing more extraordinary than their music is his story.”

Of course, the story they’re referring to is of Queen’s legendary frontman Freddie Mercury, who will be portrayed by Rami Malek in a performance that has already received praise from early screenings. The film will follow the band’s career from its inception through to the famous Live Aid performance in 1985.

Bohemian Rhapsody isn’t set to arrive in cinemas until Friday November 2, but this trailer is bound to have you putting Queen on repeat in anticipation.
