Seminal first-wave punk group The Damned have announced that they're heading back to Australian shores for a headlining tour later this year.
Once referred to by Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister as "the only real punk band" (which, really, should be all the authentication you would ever need), The Damned are known by many for their brash fusion of frenetic punk rock and gothic influences, and are often regarded alongside The Clash and Sex Pistols as a seminal force in driving the genre's popularity.
The Damned, who were last in the country for Golden Plains in 2017, are highly regarded for their riotous live shows and formidable stage presence - even though they've been kicking for close to 43 years now. If you're a fan of true, in-your-face destructive punk stylings, consider these shows unmissable. Check out the dates below - tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am, so make sure to have your finger on the buzzer!
