TuneCore Direct Advance will provide users the option to request a cash advance through their TuneCore Balance Page upon paying a one-time fee and agreeing to repay the advance through future streaming and download sales. The service allows artists to maintain ownership of their music and obtain an advance with little difficulty.

The advance option is a result of support by financial and technology company Lyric Financial. The company worked with TuneCore for two years in order to bring the Direct Advance idea to life. While TuneCore is available in Australia, their Direct Advance service is currently available only in the US.
