TINPAN ORANGE TO EMBARK ON NATIONAL TOUR

TO3.jpg

Love Is a Dog is an emotionally intricate concept album that encompasses soaring string arrangements, thoughtful and sparse guitar hooks and Emily Lubitz’s delicate, awe inspiring vocals. ‘Rich Man’, the first single to be pulled from the album, follows an affluent, melancholic character who is trapped in a loveless relationship. The juxtaposition between the character’s immense wealth and crippling loneliness is striking – the single has certainly given us a taste of how dark and brooding the forthcoming album will be.

In celebration of the album, Tinpan Orange will embark on a national tour in April and May of this year. Of the band’s new lineup, lead singer Emily Lubitz states that she “enjoys playing as a trio… [she] likes singing in that space”. She goes on to explain that, when she feels “safe and sound”, she’s prepared to “tell a few stories and share some thoughts” in order to really connect with the crowd.

Tickets are onsale now, and are available through the venue’s websites. Love Is A Dog will be released on April 8.
