Thundamentals announce national tour, share details of new album

Heading To A City Near You

Aussie hip-hop heavyweights Thundamentals have just dropped news of a huge tour set to launch later this year in support of their upcoming studio album, I Love Songs.

Rather than focus on politics in their music as seen on previous releases, Thundamentals have shifted focus to one of the most prevailing themes in popular music: love.

"Everyone knows how f**ked we are politically, and Thundamentals have been banging on about it for ten years," says Tuka. "We just wanted to write love songs instead, ones that would actually make people feel calm and connect with people around them.”

The record sees the group dive into a range of genres, with tracks recalling themes and characteristics of electronica, gospel, and R&B—and continuing to stay true to Thundamentals’ hip-hop roots.

In celebration of I Love Songs, the group will set off around the country for six headline shows alongside an appearance at Canberra’s Spilt Milk festival. They’ll be supported by special guests Ziggy Ramo, Jesswar, Joyride, and Billy Davis & The Good Lords. Check out the tour dates below to find your nearest show:
