After a nine year absence in the region, Panasonic have today announced that Technics turntables are finally available in the Australian market.
The Technics SL-1210MK7 inherits the legacy of the coveted Technics SL-1200 direct-drive turntable - well known as the wheels of steel which went on to change music forever. By upholding the traditional design of the series and adding a coreless direct drive motor and other tweaks such as a two-layer platter and an aluminium die-cast chassis, the SL-1210MK7 looks set to please both purists and those who might be new to the brand, while new DJ-focused functions such as reverse playback aim to appeal to those using the SL-1210MK7 onstage.
While this turntable is currently only available to purchase via StoreDJ, it's still incredibly exciting to see the name returning to Australian stores. Keep your eyes peeled for more from the brand soon!
