The Technics SL-1210MK7 inherits the legacy of the coveted Technics SL-1200 direct-drive turntable – well known as the wheels of steel which went on to change music forever. By upholding the traditional design of the series and adding a coreless direct drive motor and other tweaks such as a two-layer platter and an aluminium die-cast chassis, the SL-1210MK7 looks set to please both purists and those who might be new to the brand, while new DJ-focused functions such as reverse playback aim to appeal to those using the SL-1210MK7 onstage.
