The inaugural Sydney Guitar Festival is set to debut this August as a celebration of local and international guitar music and culture.
Taking place at venues including the Factory Theatre, the Concourse, Venue 505 and the iconic Enmore Theatre, the event will span five days across the city and feature several world renowned musicians.
The first performance announcements include Guittara at the Enmore with the legendary Paco Peña and classical guitar duo the Grigoryan Brothers; a tribute to Eric Clapton featuring Australian guitarists, as well as American guitarists Richie Kotzen and Sheryl Bailey.
Sarah McLeod (Superjesus) and James Norbert Ivanyi will also feature, while a celebration of B. B. King and Chuck Berry is in the works with a yet-to-be-announced line-up.
The Sydney Guitar Festival will run from Wednesday August 23 – Sunday August 27. For more information, visit their website.
