SUPERGROUP FEATURING MEMBERS OF SONIC YOUTH, WILCO AND BIG STAR SET TO RELEASE ALBUM

At it’s core, the new album entitled Ghosts on the Radio features Big Star’s Jody Stephens, Irwin Menken of the Lee Ronaldo Band and New York based guitarist Jay Deegan, but the album is also aided at points by a proverbial army of alt-rock legends.

Peppered throughout the record are performances from Lee Ronaldo of Sonic Youth, Mikael Jorgensen and John Stirratt of Wilco, Django Haskins of The Old Ceremony, Chris Stamey of the dB’s and seminal American guitaris Nels Cline.

Though the project has technically existed before, this particular incarnation of the group, with this lineup of contributors is certainly something new, and for lovers of alt-rock, flannalette and every 90s, certainly something to behold.

The band has just premiered the album’s lead single ‘Fade Away’, which includes performances from Skylar Gudasz on vocals and Mikael Jorgensen on synth. It’s definitely a release that’s likely to attract a lot of attention in the midst of a ’90s renaissance.

Ghosts on the Radio is schedule for release on December 11 via Vitalic Noise.
