Sting and Shaggy are making a collaborative Carribean-influenced album

The Dream Team

This is the kind of news you want to hear to start your day: Sting and Shaggy are teaming up to release an island-influenced album, and they've just shared their first single, 'Don't Make Me Wait'.

The pair were first introduced by Sting's manager and Shaggy's former A&R executive, Martin Kierszenbaum, and bonded over their mutual appreciation for the music, people, and culture of Jamaica. While they initially planned to only record one track, the collaboration flowed naturally, leading to the unexpected phenomenon of a Sting/Shaggy LP.

'Don't Make Me Wait' is the first insight to the new collaboration between legendary The Police frontman and the voice behind classics like 'Boombastic' and 'It Wasn't Me'. Do yourself a favour and have a listen below:

44/876 is due for release on Friday April 20. 'Don't Make Me Wait' is available here.
