Fans are desperate to discover the identity of the band's new percussionist, and meanwhile Slipknot has taken this opportunity to seriously troll us all.
Ever since Slipknot revealed their latest lineup photo, fans have been desperate to find out the identity of their new percussionist. The yet to be identified member is replacing Chris Fehn, who quit the band earlier this year amidst some personal drama and legal issues.
Rumours surrounding who the mysterious member could be have fans speculating that it could be a member of the band's road crew, Shawn 'Clown' Crahan's son Simon, or even that Chris Fehn himself could be back in the band.
In a recent interview with Kerrang!, Corey Taylor and Shawn 'Clown' Crahan remained pretty tight-lipped about the whole situation - “The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s fucking business,” Clown said. He later added that fans can decide who the new member is after watching Slipknot perform live, stating “The proof is in the pudding”.
The band then went on to troll their fans, with a Reddit user posting a photo of masked percussionist which shows the words: "Who is the new guy?" scrawled on one of his (or her?) drums.
We'll have to wait and see how this situation plays out, and if the band unveils the mysterious masked drummer before Slipknot's Australian tour with Metallica this October.
