Slipknot launch their own line of whiskey

Slipknot join the growing group of celebrities with their own brand of spirit, hoping to add to previous successes of George Clooney, whose tequila venture Casamigos sold for $1 billion in 2017, or Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin, which has perhaps the best marketing campaign of all time.

Bassist Clown has blended No.9’s two expressions, the No.9 and the No. 9 reserve, to produce a rockingly warm bourbon-rye mix, which Forbes‘ resident Dining and Drinking expert Fred Minnick says shows that he “may have a shot as a whiskey maker”.

With the band touring extensively in the coming months, the dark spirit will be available for its American constituents. Unfortunately, us Aussies may miss out.

Slipknot will be in Australia later this year as support for Metallica, who last year announced a whiskey of their own.

Tickets are available for Slipknot and Metallica via Live Nation.
