Sydney rockers Sister Jane have announced their break up with the upcoming release of their third and final record, Frontier.
The release of album track ‘You Can Have Me’ represents the band going out on a high, with their iconic, shimmering guitar lines on show. While the official video, directed by Zane Pearson, brings to mind cinema classics such Paris Texas and Blue Velvet, its depiction of jealousy and desire between three characters a perfect addition to the track’s emotional intensity.
Originally formed in 2005, the band found it difficult continuing following the remarkable departure of frontman, Dan Davey. Frontier was recorded over seven days inside a small historic school house and incorporates influences as diverse as New Wave and Americana folk and European synth masters.
