The headphones will feature Sennheiser’s balanced armature drivers and broadband transducers, low distortion, neodymium magnets and a peak sound pressure level of 115dB. They also feature a new patent-pending cable ducting designed to reduce the effects of wear and tear, with the cable connector being housed within the ear mould itself. The IE 40 Pro will be followed by the more elaborate IE 400 and IE 500 Pro models in 2019.
