Following the release of their sophomore album ‘Hoops’ last week, The Rubens have released a striking new video for the album’s title track.
Directed by Dylan Duclos and Matt Earl (aka ORFN), the clip was shot in Sydney and transports you into a trippy world of multiplying Rubens.
As the last song written for the album, ‘Hoops’ strays from the typical sound of The Rubens and explores the realms of R‘n’B. Lead singer, Sam Margin, states the track is about “being in a relationship with someone who does damaging things to keep you close, when really their actions are pointless because you love them despite it all”.
The Rubens will be heading out on a national tour later this year. For more information and tour dates, click here.
