Melbourne's own Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have shared another slice of jangly, blissed-out guitar pop with their new single 'Cars In Space'.
Premiered by BBC 6 Music's Steve Lamacq, 'Cars In Space' is about as Rolling Blackouts C.F. as it gets - a driving motorik groove propels the track and allows for plenty of janky emeblishments, while a mid-song breakdown lets the lads break loose with their classic dueling guitar licks. It harkens back to the sound of The Smiths and The Go-Betweens, yet offers something fresh, slick and ultimately very Melbournian.
'Cars In Space' is also accompanied by a new music video directed by Nick McKinlay, with Assistant Direction provided by none other Julia Jacklin. Given the aesthetic flair that these two boast, it comes as no surprise that the music video is a bit of a visual treat, offering a distinct colour palate and witty eye for detail - suss it out below.
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are performing at Brunswick Music Festival next month.
