In an attempt to minimise disappointment at the Pixies tour cancellation, Rolling Blackouts a playing a free show at Sydney's Vic On the Park this Sunday March 15.
Pixies were due to play at the Sydney Opera House forecourt this Saturday March 14 and Sunday March 15. However, citing public health concerns, the band brought their Australian tour to an immediate halt after just a couple of shows.
Mebourne's Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and RVG were pencilled in as support acts. "This was an extremely difficult decision, but the well-being of our fans is always our top priority," wrote the Pixies.
Rolling Blackouts will now hit the Vic on the Park this Sunday instead. "[It's] where we played our first ever Sydney show in 2015 to no one," the band wrote on Instagram. Supports are yet to be annonuced, but the free show kicks off at 6pm.
