After revealing he was recording a solo album in an interview earlier in the year, Radiohead guitarist and backing vocalist Ed O'Brien has shared his first ever solo single under the name EOB.
'Santa Teresa' is an ambient composition reminiscent of Kid A's 'Treefingers', featuring O'Brien's distinctive textural guitar swells and effects meddling. It's not exactly a a memorable, game-changing debut, but it's certainly a nice little piece of music to mull over while you brew a cup of tea. Give it a listen below.
In April, O'Brien made a rare appearance on That Pedal Show and broke the news of his plans for a solo album, saying fans would hear material in September and that it would feature influences from Brazillian music, funk, jazz and psychedelia.
