Radial Engineering’s Most Popular Guitar Amp Switcher Gets An Upgrade

Brought back to the drawing board, the AB-Y Rev. 2 is designed for purists, the compacted true-bypass switcher offers no alterations in tone, nor does it buffer or diminish the given sound between the guitar and the amplifier. Radical Engineering offer a pure tone from your guitar once plugged directly into your amp.

Jay Porter of Radical commented, “There is something absolutely magical about playing guitar and switching between two amps. This lets you perform with so much control over your tone than when using a single amp. Better yet, when both amps are on at the same time, it creates a wall of sound that immerses you into the music and elevates your creativity.”

The BigShot AB-Y is designed to be easy to use while also being effective on stage. A neat trick that Radical has developed is when power is unavailable from the 9V supply, the passive audio signal still works – unaffected. The ABY is small and compact, and has a flourished design that makes it an ideal choice when pedalboard space becomes a real issue.

In addition, the AB-Y has a built-in isolation transformer and ground–lift switch for when you’re experiencing unwanted hum or fuzz from your pedal chain.
