With heavy forboding beats and vicious guitar hooks, ‘dancing because i’m sad’ explores the way people tend to shirk responsibility and indulge in self-sabotage by going completely off the rails for the evening.
The song revels in the tension of the band’s dualing vocalists, with bassist Lindsay O’Connell and frontman/guitarist Jacob Eastley jousting in some sonic warfare.
