Queen and Alice Cooper set to headline bushfire relief concert

The news comes just a week after Brian May hinted at the prospect of Queen joining on for a benefit concert in the spirit of the band’s famous Live Aid gig. Given that both Queen and Cooper are in the country at the same time for their own respective arena tours, it makes perfect sense for the two rock ‘n roll sensations to join in on the fundraising fun.

The mammoth nine hour concert, which is set to go down at ANZ Stadium on Monday February 16, will also feature national heavyweight acts such as Grinspoon, Icehouse, Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark, Olivia Newton-John, Pete Murray  and Tina Arena. Comedian Celeste Barber, who hit headlines recently for raising over $50 million towards relief efforts through her record-breaking online appeal, will also be hosting the event.
