PRS announces new SE Mark Holcomb SVN and DW CE 24 Floyd models

The new PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN is fitted with seven strings with a 26.5″ scale length, making it suited for heavier guitarists looking to chug away with chunky string gauges. Boasting a wide thin satin maple neck with an ebony fretboard, these new Periphery signature models are also loaded with a set of Holcomb’s fantastic Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega seven-string pickups, which are designed to complement the output and articulation of his personal playing style. It’s available in two different finish types: Natural Satin over a walnut veneer, or Holcomb Burst over a quilt maple veneer. Deeeeee-luxe.

If you’re more of a Between The Buried And Me Fan, you’ll find solace in the new PRS DW CE 24 Floyd, designed to the specifications of the band’s guitarist Dustie Waring. This one features a satin-finished maple neck and fretboard bolted onto a sturdy mahogany body, with the neck boasting a modified Pattern Thin neck carve based on Waring’s preference for thinner front-to-back necks. The DW CE 24 Floyd is also loaded with Waring’s signature Mojotone DW Tomahawk humbuckers, which are wired to a volume and tone control with a five-way blade selector that’s been moved slightly to allow for HUGE Floyd Rose divebombs. There’s also five different finish types to choose from: Burnt Amber Smokeburst, Faded Blue Smokeburst, Black Top, Gray Black and Waring Burst.
