Propellerhead releases Europa Synth standalone plugin

Popular Reason Synth Now Available On Any DAW

The powerful Europa synth by Swedish software veterans Propellerhead is now being released as its own standalone synthesiser plugin, giving users the freedom to incorporate it with their go-to workstation.

The popular spectral wavetable synthesiser, usually only usable with the company's flagship DAW Reason, has now been made available in VST and AU formats to be used with any other platform through its standalone plugin. Europa boasts deeply customisable wavetable modification options, while keeping the user interface clean and easy to navigate. The plugin additionally comes free with any purchase of the latest Reason 10, or when current owners of the DAW upgrade to the latest version of the software.

Europa features more than 30 wavetable engine models, from your standard analogue waveforms to more complex and dynamic oscillators, as well as allowing users to input their own samples to create a custom wavetable or filter. After shaping your signal, the expansive LFO, filter and effects suites and the comprehensive modulation matrix allow for extreme levels of customisable tone shaping, as can be seen in the video above. However, if building patches from scratch isn't your thing, the synth does also come with over 500 out-of-the box presets for you to play around with and tweak to your heart's content.

If this looks like the next tool in your synth arsenal, you can read more about it or purchase it on Propellerhead's website here.
