The classic double-album from the former artist formerly known as ‘The Artist Formerly Known As Prince’ has been remastered and expanded, to now include not one, not two, but 35 previously unreleased tracks, due out on Friday November 29.
The Super Deluxe reissue – and it sure is – will celebrate the October 1982 album 1999, and will feature a total of 65 audio tracks across five CDs or 10 vinyls. The previously unreleased tracks include studio recordings from between November 1981 and January 1983 as well as a complete live performance of the 1999 tour recorded in Detroit in 1982.
Some of the tracks which are set to see the light of day in the 1999 reissue include live studio takes of ‘International Lover’ and ‘How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore?’, as well as a 7″ mono promo-only edit of ‘Let’s Pretend We’re Married’, the video version of ‘Let’s Pretend We’re Married’ and the B-Side to ‘Delirious,’ ‘Horny Toad.’ Nice, Prince.
