Posthumous Prince album ‘Originals’ announced

Originals will be shared to Jay-Z’s streaming platform Tidal as an exclusive release from June 7-20 before receiving a wider physical release via Warner Music on Friday June 21.

Spanning 15 tracks, Originals stems from Prince’s many ‘Vault’ recordings, with Carter and Jay-Z primarily selecting tracks that Prince wrote for other artists between 1981-1991, including The Bangles’ ‘Manic Monday,’ Kenny Rogers’ ‘You’re My Love’ and Prince’s original 1985 version of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U.’
