PATTI SMITH ANNOUNCES THIRD SYDNEY SHOW

p03btsb1.jpg

It has been eight years since we’ve seen Patti Smith on our shores, and these upcoming shows are highly anticipated as Smith and her band will be performing her debut album Horses in it’s entirety. 41 years have passed since the release of the album and it has truly stood the test of time.

Late last year some of Melbourne’s finest musicians, Courtney Barnett, Adalita, Jen Cloher and Gareth Liddiard came together to pay tribute to the album as part of Melbourne Festival – a true testiment to the albums enduring legacy

Patti Smith will include in her band two of the original members that played on Horses, Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty. Her bass player and keyboardist Tony Shanahan has been a member of her band for 20 years while Jack Petruzzelli has also collaborated with Patti Smith for some time now.

Tickets are selling very quickly so don’t miss out as the entire tour is expected to be a sell out.
