Ocean Alley, The Rubens + more announced to perform at Don’t Kill Live Music Rally in Sydney

Occuring tomorrow, the rally will also see performances from the likes of Cloud Control, Dan Sultan & Polish Club, Urthboy & Bertie Blackman and Olympia. The rally will also play host to high-profile guest speakers including Murray Cook of The Wiggles, Julien Hamilton of The Presets, Dave Faulkner of Hoodoo Gurus, and a range of other prominent industry figures from Fuzzy, Sydney City Council, Elephant Traks and Chugg Entertainment.

In a statement, the organisers of the rally reached out for Australian music fans to stand up for their culture, saying –

“We want our music culture to be safe and inclusive. Onerous and ill-considered regulation will not save lives. And the State Government is decimating our music culture in the process. The NSW State Government is vilifying live music with knee-jerk regulation. Instead of consulting with festival experts, the NSW Government imposed punitive regulation that specifically targets music festivals, and music fans.”

The rally goes down tomorrow from 6-8pm at Sydney’s Hyde Park. If you can’t make it, be sure to sign the petition – there’s already 110,000 others who have put their names down. Check out the full lineup of artists and speakers appearing at the rally below, and make sure to get down to show support for your fellow music lovers.
