Novation announce the new Launchpad X and Launchpad Mini MkIII

The big daddy of the bunch, the Launchpad X, features 64 full-sized RGB pads, which are pressure and velocity sensitive and supposedly more responsive than ever before, which is perfect for inputing both drum and note data.. The utility buttons have been moved up to the top of the unit to make things nice and easy to operate, while the right edges of the pads are square.

There’s also a Capture MIDI button to let you input ideas as soon as they pop into your head, while controls like stop, solo, mute, record arm, levels, pans and sends also help to make this thing perfect for performers and studio rats alike. The Novation Launchpad X now features USB-C connectivity to suit modern Apple MacBooks, and are ready to order now.

If you’re a bit keen on preserving desk space in your studio, the Launchpad Mini MkIII is right up your alley. It boasts many of the same features as the Launchpad X, and like the X, also offers drum and note input modes and USB-C connectivity.

Both units can be customised further using Novation’s browser-based components editor, allowing these Launchpads to easily be integrated with DAWs other than Ableton.
