Nick Findlay, the now former assistant music director at Triple J, has been promoted as the station’s music director, taking over Richard Kingsmill's long held role.
Findlay has been working at Triple J for over a decade and has the opportunity to take on more responsibility for the station’s day to day programming. Previous roles of his include music researcher and producer at the station, and he’s also worked as a presenter, producer and assistant music director at FBi radio in Sydney.
Findlay’s former role of assistant music director is being taken over by Gemma Pike, who has worked in the Triple J music team since 2011.
Kingsmill has been at Triple J for almost 30 years, taking part in multiple roles, and now leads a team of music directors at Double J, Triple j Unearthed and ABC local radio. He will continune to host Triple J’s ‘2017’ programme on Sunday evenings.
