‘Restless’ finds the group contemplating life in the modern world, enticing the listener and ultimately setting the tone for the rest of the album. Produced mainly by New Order with help from Tom Rowlands and Stuart Price, Music Complete embodies New Order’s familiar sound to a tee.
Not only did New Order collaborate when producing the album, but also when writing and recording the album. For instance, Brandon Flowers provided vocals on ‘Superheated’, Iggy Pop features of ‘Stray Dog’ and Elly Jackson is featured on ‘Tutti Frutti’, ‘Plastic’ and ‘People On The High Line’.
