NEW NATIONAL VENUE BOOKING AGENCY LAUNCHES

Social State Main.jpg

The agency is starting off with a strong roster of venues that include The Black Bear Lodge and Max Watts in Brisbane, the Prince Bandroom and Prince Public Bar in Melbourne, The Wool Exchange in Geelong, and nine others.

Both of the founding directors will bring with them their individual portfolios of venues and specialist knowledge to form a unified company. Barbera is the managing director and found of The Fans Group, which already handles Brisbane based rooms such as Black Bear Lodge and The Brightside. Power is the live content director for the Prince Bandroom, Prince Public Bar in Melbourne, as well as a variety of other venues around the country through his Tiger Live Agency.

Power also has over 20 years of experience, having previously booked the Hi-Fi venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The duo aim to provide a similar streamlined service for touring agents and bands who are looking to book national tours through the same agency.

“It’s clear there is a gap to fill for strategic marketing support and a need for cleaner, more streamlined administration process for all sizes of shows and venues,” wrote Power on their new website. “Under the new arrangement our agents will have more time to book acts, and there will be an increase in the speed and quality of administration support.”
