Nektar unveils new SE49 and SE25 MIDI controllers

With 49 full sized velocity sensitive keys, the Nektar SE49 is best suited to bedroom producers looking for a solid controller to integrate into the creation of their tracks. In addition to pitch and mod wheels, the SE49 also features a 34mm data slider which can be assigned to a parameter of your own choice, as well as octave controls and record/play buttons. There’s also an input for a sustain pedal and USB power on the back, making the Nektar SE49 perfect for controlling soft synths in the studio.

For a more portable option, the Nektar SE25 boasts 25 mini velocity sensitive keys and a newly designed keybed for a more responsive, realistic feel – despite weighing in at a slight 400 grams, this little fella definitely isn’t a toy to be sneezed at. With six buttons to control pitch, modulation, sustain, DAW transport and other functions, as well as a micro USB input in the back, the SE25 looks like it’ll be a welcome addition to any backpack sized studio setup.

Both of the new SE models from Nektar include highly responsive DAW Integration, and also come shipped with Bitwig 8-track in case you need to make some bangers in a hurry out of the box. Hit up the product page for more specs and to see how to integrate the SE49 or SE25 with your DAW of choice.

Nektar is distributed in Australia through Sound and Music.
