NAMM 2019: Fender reveals first photos of Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster

The collaboration was first announced in October last year as a celebration of Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary. The subsequent range sees four new designs in honour of Page’s 1959 Tele.

Two models will be produced in the Fender Custom Shop – aptly titled the Limited Edition Jimmy Page Telecaster Set – and two will become part of Fender’s standard production lines.

The Custom Shops designs both feature an ash body, rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-sized frets, and a maple neck. Finish options for the Limited Edition set include the painted Dragon design, hand-painted by Paul Waller and Page himself, or a period-accurate White Blonde lacquer finish with eight circular mirrors.

Meanwhile, the Jimmy Page Mirror Telecaster from the Fender production line boasts an ash body, “top-loader” bridge, vintage-style tuners, and a pair of Jimmy Page Custom ’59 Tele single-coil pickups, with a finish option of White Blonde.

The second option from the production line, the Jimmy Page Telecaster, offers a two-piece ash ‘50s Tele body, two custom-wound Jimmy Page Telecaster single-coil pickups, vintage-style tuners, and a striking finish referred to by Fender as a “painted serpentine design.”
