My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Ministry + more announced for Download 2020

Well, this is huge: the newly reunited My Chemical Romance have been announced as headliners for next year's Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney.

The scene-kid stars are set to make the trek over to Australia to exclusively perform at Download, meaning that all you little emos will need to grab tickets ASAP to ensure you can relive all those years of angst all over again.

My Chemical Romance aside, it's a pretty huge initial lineup reveal, with notable names including beloved alternative metal unit Deftones, JImmy Eat World, the return of Clutch and industrial pioneers Ministry. Stoner metal savants Baroness are also set to appear, as are In Flames, Alestorm, Testament and Bodyjar, while prominent local acts include Ne Obliviscaris, Thornhill, Clowns and In Hearts Wake.

Check out the first lineup announcement in full below. Presale kicks off at the end of this week, and general tickets go on sale Wednesday November 13. For dates and venue details, head here.
