MUSIC VICTORIA LAUNCHES MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

MUSIC VICTORIA ONLINE.jpg

Music Victoria is once again providing new and renewed members with the opportunity to directly support its cultivating, protecting, and representing of the state’s local music industry. In the process a whole bunch of benefits and prizes are also up for grabs.

A membership covers all bases for musicians and fans alike, providing a huge range of discounts on everything from advertising rates with Beat Magazine and Tone Deaf, to records at Polyester Records and Greville Records, and earplugs from Sensaphonics.

Members will also go into the running to win over $5000 worth of prizes – if supporting local music wasn’t enough, this list of goodies will get you onboard without hesitation. Among the prizes up for grabs is an acoustic guitar signed by drive ambassadors and a starter pack (tuner, strings, capo and more), five rehearsals at the newly refurbished Wick Studios, a double pass to LOW at Melbourne Recital Centre, and Mountain Goat and Dixon’s Creek Estate wine party packs.

In the past 12 months Music Victoria has advocated for regulatory protection and attenuation grants for venues, and exemptions for small live music venues from the late night liquor licensing freeze. In continuing to expand and strengthen their role the organisation will this year work alongside the state government as it delivers its $22.2 million Music Works package.

With memberships starting from $33 for individual members and $66 for bands, there’s no better time to invest in Victoria’s vibrant and robust music industry than right now, through Music Victoria.
