The album, which debuted at number one in six countries, was the first album released by the band to land the charts at number one in Australia.
Directed by Alex Southam (Alt-J, John Grant, First Aid Kit), the video for ‘Ditmas’ was shot in Kiev and moves back and forth from shots of the band to shots of a picturesque field where a man is seen capturing and riding a wild horse.
The inspiration for ‘Ditmas’ originates from the name of an artist-friendly neighbourhood in Brooklyn. Additionally, the studio where Mumford & Sons wrote most of Wilder Mind is also located there. Their latest single is set to showcase the band’s electric new sound, without losing the intimacy and melody-rich appeal of their music.
Mumford & Sons are set to hit the Australian stage in VIC, NSW and QLD later this year.
