Motörhead announce deluxe ‘1979’ collectors boxset

The partnership will see all of Motörhead’s biggest releases from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s reissued upon 180 gram vinyl from the original master tapes. All releases have been fully endorsed by the Motörhead camp, with full cooperation and involvement from the estates of Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor.

The reissue series kicks thigns off with the Motörhead ’79 boxset, celebrating the 40th anniversaries of the band’s Overkill and Bomber records. The boxset contains remastered copies of the original records, as well as double-live albums of unheard material from Motörhead’s 1979 tours. There’s also a 40 page period correct ‘music magazine’ with unseen photos and interviews about the era, as well as a The Rest of ’79 vinyl featuring B-sides, outtakes and rare tracks, a ‘No Class’ 7″ single’, the Bomber tour program, an Overkill sheet music book, a badge set and a black biker jacket box to keep it all in.

This is a seriously stacked little package that’s bound to please any self-respecting Motörhead enthusiast, and serves as a fitting celebration to the iconic rock act – Lemmy Forever!
