Retaining most of the features of the original polyphonic pedal, the Tender Octaver MKII keeps the indpendent Sub, Upper and Dry control knobs found on the MKI, allowing users to blend different octaves together to create everything from ethereal swells to fat, funked up bass lines at the dial of a knob.
However, what really makes the Tender Octaver MKII special is the three new algorithims included with the pedal. At the flick of a switch, you can select between three enitrely different tonal presents which drastically alter tone and allow for further sonic possibilities. These include the Fat switch, which emulates a natural lower octave perfect for basslines, a Tight feature, designed with a higher low EQ cut off to sound like classic organs from the 60’s and 70’s, and the Swell mode, which offers a soft attack perfect for volume swells and lush 12-string-esque textures.
Complete with an all analogue dry-through signal and true bypass tucked into a tiny metal chassis, it looks like Mooer’s Tender Octave MKII is certainly going to make waves when it hits shelves in the future.
