SENIOR PUBLICIST – Thinking Loud (Sydney) 

Thinking Loud are a leading Sydney agency with a passion for music, youth culture and brand marketing. Their client roster includes global brands such as Boiler Room, Red Bull Music, Bacardi, Jameson, Southern Comfort, Wrangler and JBL, as well as music clients such as Sampa The Great, REMI, Touch Sensitive, Winston Surfshirt, Flight Facilities, Pnau and Cut Copy. They’re looking for a skilled Senior Publicist / Account Manager to join their Sydney office on a full-time basis.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • A minimum 2 – 4 years agency experience in PR / communications role, with experience planning and implementing brand PR campaigns in the culture space a plus
  • A strong passion for music and culture with an in-depth knowledge of these industry landscapes in Australia including key media, labels, artists, promoters, festivals and venues
  • The ability to demonstrate a healthy network of contacts and media relationships across  multiple industry sectors, with contacts in music, lifestyle, pop culture and consumer tech sectors a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing strong, collaborative relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Experience managing social influencer networks and executing measurable campaigns
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to solve problems and work independently

Tasks Include:

  • Working with cross-functional, in-house teams and contract staff to plan and implement innovative, creative PR campaigns in line with set KPI’s
  • Ongoing client contact: managing day-to-day expectations and requests of PR agency clients, covering consumer brand, record label and event / entertainment accounts
  • Managing WIP meetings (client and internal)
  • End to end management of key PR projects and retained client accounts​
  • Working closely and collaboratively with media to deliver considered, top-tier editorial output across music, lifestyle, pop culture and consumer tech publishers
  • Managing and maintaining internal agency process documents and tools, including WIP documents, run sheets, worksheets, timelines, KPI trackers and content schedules are updated
  • Providing support at all relevant agency events, including out of hours and weekend activities when requested
  • Leading on client reporting, ensuring agency tools are up to date to allow timely and effective client communication and campaign evaluation
  • Assisting where possible in building the agency client roster of music and consumer brand clients and creating new business leads through existing contacts and research
  • Supervising and managing junior staff and interns within your team

MARKETING CO-ORDINATOR/MANAGER – TMRW Music (Sydney)

TMRW Music Group houses labels etcetc, Hussle, Ministry of Sound Events, Risque, as well as touring brands Soapbox and Poster Child. Their artists include Pnau, Jax Jones, Fisher, Loud Luxury and Timmy Trumpet, as well as up and coming CLYPSO, Doolie and Charlz.  They run Ministry of Sound, Chinese Laundry and RNB Fridays clubs. They tour everyone from Patrick Topping to Sasha & Digweed.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred – Marketing, Communications or Business
  • Solid previous experience gained within a label, management company or music service provider.
  • Strong knowledge of the current streaming landscape, plus an understanding and passion for Australian electronic and dance music.

 

Tasks Include: 

  • Manage multiple priorities with consistent follow through on a broad scope of actions.
  • Demonstrate high-level relationship building, negotiation and communication skills.

MEMBERSHIPS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Music Victoria (Melbourne) 

Music Victoria are looking to recruit a Membership and Professional Development Manager! This role is 4 days a week and is responsible for the strategy, development and delivery of the Music Victoria memberships program and professional development program.

 

Tasks Include: 

  • Prepare a membership strategy which includes targeting high value members and reviews current categories and fees.
  • Manage the annual membership drive with support from Marketing/Project manager
  • Oversee membership functions and develop ongoing strategies to increase membership numbers and income
  • Monitor and coordinate a high-quality membership engagement service that integrates with Music Victoria’s broader activities
  • Distribute annual members survey and gather information
  • Report to board and funding bodies on membership related data/findings using membership database and google analytics
  • Maintain member discount provider database, and service and convert discount providers
  • Maintain member and discount provider content on the website, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Seek new member discounts and consult business to understand their needs as potential or existing members
