ARTIST (ARTS ON PRESCRIPTION) – HAMMONDCARE (Melbourne)

Based on three years of research, HammondCare’s Arts on Prescription program is proven to increase wellbeing for older people with unmet health needs. Here’s the chance to do your part: HammondCare are looking for artists to join the team on a sessional/casual basis.

 

Skills Required:

  • Practicing artist (from fine arts, music, dance, drama, photography and/or other visual arts)
  • Desire to contribute to healthy ageing and the care of older people with a diverse range of health and wellness needs
  • Ability to meet challenges with empathy and good humour
  • Experience working creatively with older people is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided
  • Enthusiasm and creativity are a must

Tasks Include:

  • Deliver services in Melbourne on a small group basis or one-on-one in the home to older people
  • Contribute to the Arts on Prescription project in its endeavour to help older people dealing with frailty, social isolation, mental health challenges, mild cognitive impairment or early dementia, and their carers, or people experiencing bereavement

ADMINISTRATOR/MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR – AMPLIFIRE MUSIC (Brisbane)

Amplifire Music, a long-running artist management and label services company representing the likes of The Jungle Giants and Confidence Man, is on the hunt for a new Administrator/Management Coordinator to join their Brisbane office. This is a casual position for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with potential to grow to a 25 hour per week permanent part-time role.

 

Skills Required:

  • Highly organised and analytical
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to problem solve while assisting the Director and Senior Artist Manager in a tight-knit office
  • Excellent office administration and data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with artists, promoters, publicists and other music industry participants
  • Advanced Apple Mac, Excel, Dropbox and word processing skills with a knowledge of online music streaming platforms
  • Excellent understanding of and the ability to use all social media platforms and online platforms for websites and databases
  • 2-3 years experience in day-to-day office administration roles
  • 1- 2 years experience in full or part time roles within the creative industries and specifically the music industry is preferred but not essential
  • A pride in doing your job well and executing plans as part of a team working towards common goals
  • An ability to work independently, monitor progress, and complete specific tasks over extended time periods
  • The ability to manage your time and competing priorities to meet short deadlines
  • It would be ideal to have your own transport

Tasks Include:

  • Work closely with Amplifire Music’s director and owner Stu McCullough and senior artist manager Deena Lynch on all aspects of the day-to-day management of artists
  • Taking care of general administration in the day-to-day running of the office
  • Assisting with planning and booking travel and onsite needs for artists and crew around touring and festival dates including data entry into tour management software.
  • Maintaining files, Dropbox assets, recordings, photos, artworks, artist PR and archive databases
  • Assisting with regularly updating band and company websites, mailing databases, social medias and platforms such as BandsinTown, Songkick and streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam etc.)
  • Assist with merchandise logistics/coordination of online stores, touring and stock levels
  • Coordinating and closely working with the company director and senior artist manager

AUDIO PRODUCTION PROGRAM COORDINATOR – COLLARTS (Melbourne)

Collarts, a dynamic independent tertiary music institution, is looking for a coordinator to help facilitate their Audio Production degree and diploma.

 

Skills Required:

  • Be connected to the music industry as an audio engineer
  • Have expert knowledge in various DAW skills
  • Hold a post graduate qualification in audio or a related area
  • Have some teaching experience in higher education settings
  • Have expert knowledge of contemporary music production
  • Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess demonstrable experience in blended eLearning
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in audio production, education or a similar field
  • Showcase outstanding skill, expertise and success in your creative field, substantiated through positive reputation, public profile and/or industry review

Tasks Include:

  • Collaborate with Program Leader and provide assistance in all areas of leadership, student pastoral care and management of sessional staff
  • Coordinate curriculum and assessment, apply industry currency and comply with internal and external policies and procedures
