MICACHU AND THE SHAPES RELEASE NEW SINGLE

Micachu and the Shapes-by Steven Legere.jpg

The trio’s newest album’s underpinnings come from recordings of jam sessions in an East London studio created by Drummer, Marc Pell. The off-cut audio experiments soon became a major part of the latest album’s essence.

In order to capture the authenticity of their music, the trio started out with collaborative improvisation, which was then used to develop the albums featured tracks. Maintaining their experimental-pop sound, the band then combines the lightness and bounce with industrial effects and field recordings.

‘Good Sad Happy Bad’, much like the album title, is set to incorporate a mix of upbeat optimism and sadder, melancholy songs. The record as a whole is said to have an irrepressible energy and is therefore, one not to be missed.

‘Good Sad Happy Bad’ is available Friday 11 via Rough Trade / Remote Control Records. For more information, click here.
