Here we go - Metallica have announced string of Australian and New Zealand stadium shows later this year in October, with Slipknot being billed as support for the whole tour.
The band, who haven't played in the country for more than six years, says their once-in-a-lifetime stadium tour is "long overdue" to hit the country, expressing their elation to bring Hardwirded... to Australian audiences.
As well as offering standard admission tickets for their shows in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Metallica are also offering the ultimate ticket package for fans: the Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket, which allows general admission to any show on the tour for the price of $598. All you need to do is RSVP 48 hours before the show - essentially allowing you to see just about every show on the tour.
There's also a range of Enchanced Experience packages available which gives fans the chance to enter venues early, access premium amenities, visit Metallica's 'Memory Remains' travelling museum and even meet the band - looks like Metallica are pulling all the punches on this stadium tour.
If that's not enough, every ticketholder will also receive a fully mixed and mastered audio copy of the performance that they attend on the Worldwired.... tour, recorded directly from the soundboard, which are available for download after the show.
Check out all the dates below, and be sure to jump online to grab tickets when they get released on Monday March 18.
