After wowing punters with the 50 watt rendition of the Fillmore last year, Mesa Boogie have gone and one-upped themselves with the brand new Fillmore 100, offering double the power as well as multiple power outputs and a lush spring reverb.
Although we've seen a noticable shift from manufacturers stepping away from making amps of this size and power in modern times - our backs, ears and neighbours still hurt - we're definitely excited about the Mesa Boogie Fillmore 100. Featuring three fully independent footswitchable channels, the Fillmore 100 allows users to set up their own preferred tone and map it to the Clean, Drive and Hi settings of each channel, with controls for Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb and Master Volume being used to shape your sound further.
The Fillmore 100 oozes a bit of an oomph with four 6L6 Pentode valves to offer 98 W Clean/112 Max power, with options to switch down to Half or Low output modes if the neighbours are whinging. It's also available as either a 1x12 combo loaded with an 8ohm Celestion Custom 90, or a standard amp head. Suss out how it sounds below:
