Mac DeMarco and Pond announce 2020 Australian tour

Yeehaw!

Here Comes The Cowboy! Jangle rock demon Mac DeMarco has announced a string of tour dates to kick off the new year Down Under, and he's bringing Pond and Japanese punk rockers Chai along for the ride.

The tour announcement, which essentially pencils in DeMarco and co. as frontrunners for this year's Falls Festival given the proximity of the dates, will see the Canadian crew perform three shows in major cities across the East Coast as well as a lone show in the West, where Chai will be replaced by local punks Cold Meat. Sorry South Australia - once again, you'll have to jet across to Melbourne or Perth for your Maccy D fix.

Given both Mac and Pond's reputation as live performers and their respective appeal from Australian fanbases, we reckon these shows will be huuuuuuge. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, so get your affairs in order and then start planning for 2020's already prosperous gig calendar. Boooyah baby.
