Listen to Crówn’s simmering new single ‘Go Down Low’

With its glistening production and upbeat groove, ‘Go Down Low’ depicts Crówn’s talent as both a sonic curator and songwriter, offering an irresistable pop-tinged Afrobeat track that gets better and better with each listen. The track sees Crówn (real name David Adekiyesi) take inspiration from the likes of current Afrobeat sensations Burna Boy and Wizkid, as well as the legendary Fela Kuti, who heavily informed the direction of  Adekiyesi’s forthcoming EP.

In a statement accompanying the release of the track,  Adekiyesi says that ‘Go Down Low’ demonstrates his comfort as an artist and his current musical direction, explaining that “in this song, I got to really explore and express myself musically in terms of my vocals and also in terms of genre diversification. ‘Go Down Low’ is my gate way song in a way to show my fans I have explored and experimented many sounds in 2019 and now I am comfortable with my sound and who I want to be as an artist.”
