Given black midi’s anti-authoritarian, give-no-fucks ethos, however, it’s probably just a bit of a meme from the experimental rockers, with drummer Morgan Simpson warbling “Ed Sheeran sucks/ you sellout ginger prick/ your music is doodoo, believe me man we don’t need you” over a cacaphonic beat comprised of wonky arpeggios and Brittney Spears samples.
