The Soviet Fuzz Bender uses a simple fuzz circuit in the style of a Tonebender and is controlled using just three knobs; fuzz, tone and volume. The old germanium transistors can become affected by temperature variations and throughout the 60’s and 70’s when they were used they were known to play up quite severely. However Keeley’s design tweaks aim to mitigate the unpredictability of the original pedals.
