Johnny Rotten is voicing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character

A New Gig For The Former Sex Pistol

Known for his controversial antics in the mid-'70s as frontman of the Sex Pistols, John Lydon's latest use of his vocal talents is rather unexpected: he's voicing a character in the latest reboot of the TMNT franchise.

Reported to be voicing a villainous mutant pig by the name of 'Meat Sweats', the former Sex Pistol and his iconic voice will be featured on the new series called Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His involvement in the series was announced at the latest San Diego Comic-Con, and you can hear a very brief glimpse of his involvement in the trailer below.

The new series will debut Monday September 17 on Nickelodeon, which is just three days after another of his latest ventures - a documentary entitled The Public Image Is Rotten, which will take a look at his post-Pistols band Public Image Ltd, and feature commentary from Moby, Adam Horovitz of Beastie Boys and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
