The guitar features a number of adjustments to the traditional PRS guitar, including a 25.375″ scale length, 58/15 JM treble and bass pickups and a Narrowfield JM pickup, three individual coil-tap mini-switches and a JCF Audio preamp with treble boost.

“Paul and I worked very closely to create this guitar, and the result is an incredibly refined and elegant instrument,” says Mayer. “It has a completely new sound and spirit. It’s been a joy to play and I’m excited to share that experience with other guitar players.”

The guitar was a result of collaboration between Mayer and Paul Reed Smith, and is the first signature guitar Mayer has released since leaving Fender in 2014. Since its 2005 launch, the John Mayer Signature Stratocaster has been a fan favourite, and this guitar is likely to be held in similarly high esteem.
